I'm a senior account executive. I use Spiff to review my commission statements. I always check for accuracy and Spiff is an amazing tool to do so. We used to use a different system that was very outdated. Spiff is also optimized for mobile devices so I can check in on the go.

We use Spiff to track sales commission. The tool tracks commission from different targets, dependent on job roles.
  • I like that it shows me how much I've made from each deal
  • I can organize deals and commission according to chronology
  • It breaks up commission into different "buckets"
  • It shows me how much I've progress I've made toward my quota
  • The layout of the page is not great. I can't tell where to click to see my commission
  • I can only see commissions from specific months, rather than for an entire quarter
  • The graphics that show your numbers don't always reflect the actual sales that you see when you click into the graphic
My biggest complaint is that I think it's hard to know where to find your information

As Spiff user I'm use it to monitor and approve monthly commissions, and despite complex metrics, are presented in a clear view
  • Spiff dashboard usability on mobile is awesome.
  • Intuitive platform that require almost zero training as user
  • On user dashboard isn't easy to land exactly where you need to approve a content.
I've only experience as user, sales that needs to check and approve monthly commissions calculated by our director. I don't know on which other scenario should be used because I don't know how it works it backend

Spiff is great to help keep track of bonuses and other non salary pay outs for employees. It is extremely easy to use and makes payroll so much easier for accounting purposes. I highly recommend Spiff for a company that is 50 or more people!

Spiff is used by my organization to disburse the sales incentive earned. Earlier the organization was facing challenges as the earlier software couldn't be customized to the sales model my org had in place. Spiff is easily accustomed to our requirements and has made the payroll department's job much easier. Not just that, 3very sales rep is now able to track their earning by simply logging into their profile and monitoring their incentives. Huge difference!!
  • It can be integrated with SalesForce very easily.
  • The opportunities with their incentive values can be monitored on Spiff very easily.
  • Every user has the right to check his or her earning. Historical data can also be checked.
  • A currency converter feature can be included. Since my incentive is calculated in USD but disbursed in INR, it would be more helpful for me to know the conversion rate used.
  • Data export in CSV feature should be included
  • In case of any discrepancy, contact to payroll team feature should be included.
I have already explained how this is helping my org and its employees currently. Transitioning from an earlier model to Spiff this year has been nothing but a blessing.

Spiff was able to allow us to move form an complex spreadsheet driven commission process to an automated and transparent process. Spiff took our hours of commission reviews per month and allows the users to see almost real time commissions as opportunities close. The implementation process was great with the pro services team at Spiff. I would highly recommend this platform.

Before Spiff, I have no view into what to expect for commission each quarter. Spiff has made it simple for me to track expected commission and allows me to drill in to see the data behind the percentages. I also can access Spiff via SSO from my phone which is very helpful.

Spiff very helpful for users that need to track their commissions in a sales role. Users that do not have access to advanced reporting in other sales data tools (ie: salesforce) it is needed to track progress against quota. Spiff is not needed for users not in a quota carrying role.

Track my commission. We sell commercial HVAC/R equipment. Due to supply line interruptions, it is difficult to keep up with your daily/weekly/monthly sales and bonus. We use this software to help manage that task. It is difficult to track your pay and work your clients at the same time.

  • Main issue is no live tracking of your sales numbers.
This comes in handy on residential sales as those are generally "right now" situations vs commercial which are project-based. It is difficult to keep up with your numbers due to being pulled in 100 directions at a time. Where it does not work is in the fast sale transactions, I can do $100k in sales in a day, but the software does not update until the following morning so that afternoon, I have no real idea of how the daily sales are impacting my bonus.

Spiff helps us to see our commission breakdown month by month and quarter by quarter. This helps us to best gauge how our efforts are going each month and what percentage of our quota we have yet to attain.

I use it to keep track of my commissions. Didn’t have it at my last company and was always guessing so this makes a huge difference! I use it after each deal I close so I can track how much I will be paid the following month. It puts me at ease with how much money I need to make.

Spiff is a great software tool for tracking quota especially for salespeople to use as they try to track their performance. It helps us to ensure we reach our targets and keep track on a weekly basis of our goals. Spiff is a very straightforward app.

I love Spiff and find it incredibly helpful to track my quota and really drill down into particular metrics. Understanding my performance and the associated commission helps me do my job better by improving my organization skills and knowing where to allocate my efforts. I can see my commission structure per period and visualize where I stand. The reporting is not incredibly advanced, but it does give a really good birds-eye view of your metrics, like total comp, compensation trends, monthly attainment, etc. It's also great because it's in real time, so as a rep I can see pending invoices to determine which accounts I need to go after. It is super intuitive and easy to use. I've never encountered any bugs.

We use Spiff for commissions and to accurately display information about the meetings we book/the accounts that become closed-won. I can easily see my comp plan, see my average commissions, and have instant/automatic data about my earnings. When you're booking various meetings that hold at various times of the month, it's nice to have an app that's up to date with your CRM

UI is decently organized though the page timeout isn't a security timeout. All it takes to go back to the account statement page is clicking on a "here" type button. Syncs once a day which is fine, but it'd be nice if it were more frequent. Would be nice if there was a commission calculator as part of the app.

  • Approval workflow beyond the immediate manager, for example, if the C level needs to approve, we would like to have a summary level view that they will be able to see and approve. this approval should reach them only when it is their turn to approve. there are workarounds currently, but perhaps they need a new user type that is "Approver" this user will have access to view but not edit, if changes are needed they can send back with notes.
I'd repeat the same, Great value add for transparency and "live" (overnight sync) calculations of commissions. the approvals beyond immediate supervisors need some work. but overall an awesome software to add to your company for commissions calculations.

Spiff is a great solution. It quickly allows me to see where I am against my variable pay. I love the fact that I no longer have to manage my commissions with spreadsheets. I will recommend Spiff to anyone that would like to relieve the hassle of trying to figure out monthly commissions.

I use it to check my sales commission. I can see the deals that I have closed and how much each deal counts for in commission. It helps me to understand how much commission each deal I close is worth. It addresses the problem of not knowing how much I will be paid

We use it to track commission payments with our entire sales team; supposedly helps to address confusion around how much sales reps get paid, when and ensure that they get the right amount each month.

As a sales rep, I couldn't live without Spiff. I use it almost daily to track my commissions. The best thing it does for me provides visibility and accuracy of the deals I close. Instead of relying on a spreadsheet or someone else within the company to track my commissions, I know exactly how much money I'm making. It motivates me to close more deals!

We use it to track our apps created on the SDR team, and it was a fantastic job for making sure that our systems are set up properly, from a data standpoint - it lets us audit this in real time and see where we might be having issues on our set up (as we stand up the sales team!)

Nothing beats being able to see in real-time what you're making as an IC and as a Manager, where you might be missing specific data points when setting up your other systems. A very good tool as it is both easy and intuitive to use. Turned my commission calculation from a manual and time-consuming process (which often lead to mistakes) into an automated one. Commissions are updated in real-time so it also helps keep track of your performance. Never experienced any bugs or technical issues. 100% Recommend.

I use Spiff to see the sales I have made and how much commission I will earn. Before using Spiff it was very difficult to keep track of my sales commissions. Today I use Spiff and I have the correct and fast information. I can see how much I have sold and how much I will earn.
